“The World Will Be Saved By the Western Woman.” The Dalai Lama

We see in the #METOO movement  and in the defeat of an alleged pedophile in Alabama, that women are refusing to be complicit and to subjugate themselves any longer. This is good for all of us, men, women and children alike. It’s good for the planet!

“There is an energy available to all of us that is causing tremendous transformation in every aspect of life, especially those involving sex and relationship, purpose, and money. It is changing the shape of marriage, business, religion, politics…..really everything!

For women, the relationship to authority is shifting from outside to inside…. to our own inner authority. We are beginning to shine our own light, and no longer rely on reflected light, as does the moon. This is the potent energy of the Solar Feminine and as it is being activated in more and more women, and men, a beautiful thing is happening on this planet. It is represented by the white dot representing the masculine on the feminine black side of the yin-yang symbol.

We are making the radical shift from the love of power to the power of love! The archetype of Sacred Union is replacing the old myth of separation, as we shift from a world based in dualistic thinking to the consciousness of Oneness. Whether you are aware of it or not, you are feeling the effects of this energy, as the earth receives powerful transmissions of Divine Feminine energy emanating from the Great Central Sun. It is part of the collective field effect of enough people choosing to live in the fifth dimension of consciousness, where there is no fear.

The Solar Feminine is the creative, passionate, focused, pulsating and radiant feminine energy that is needed on the planet at this time. This is the energized feminine that is fueled by compassion and purpose, and creates powerful positive change, without war.

Long long ago, the Sun Goddess was worshiped as well as the Moon Goddess, and this Solar aspect of the Feminine was alive and well on the planet. The name for Abraham’s God, El Shaddai, translates as “the many-breasted one,” according to Christopher Bamford in his essay, The God of Abraham. This female god with many breasts was able to suckle and nurture an endless number of tribes. She was seen as Creator and Mother of the Earth.

But we have lost Abraham’s nurturing Goddess and instead are left the punishing Jehovah. There was a shift of power at a certain point in the history of mankind, where the full essence of the Divine Feminine was no longer positioned as the dominant force on the planet, and the Solar Masculine energies ruled. Gerda Lerner says, “Patriarchy is a historic creation formed by men and women in a process which took nearly 2500 years to its completion. In its earliest form patriarchy appeared as the archaic state. The basic unit of its organization was the patriarchal family, which both expressed and constantly generated its rules and values.” (The Creation of Patriarchy, Women and History)

It is not within the scope of this book to delve into the mysteries surrounding this imbalance of power, but suffice it to say that what we call the gender hierarchy of the patriarchy is only one source of social disparity. Some now prefer to use the word Kyriarchy, a neologism coined by Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza and derived from the Greek words for “lord” or “master” (kyrios) and “to rule or dominate” (archein). The patriarchy It is best understood as a complex pyramidal system of intersecting social structures of superordination and subordination, of ruling and oppression. The misuse of these fiery solar energies can be seen in the ravages of war, excessive use of fossil fuels, and the degradation of female sexuality.

The more lunar qualities of the Feminine…intuition, listening, nurturing, tending…became strong and prevalent during this time, and women have hidden their power in these beautiful gifts of the Divine Feminine for the thousands of years. Now we must stop being invisible with those gifts and learn to use our masculine energies to bring them forth into the world..

For a woman to fully embody her Solar Feminine nature has been a huge challenge, requiring great courage. Because women have been conditioned to identify with the Lunar Feminine, and when they have attempted to express their solar energy, they may model after the solar masculine, which wreaks havoc with their inner lives and relationships. They push too hard and drive their lives and their health into the ground. I see evidence of the imbalance in my office every day, as driven women with passive men sit on my couch and tell of their misery.

The ensuing battle within every woman has been even more painful than the battle between the sexes. In truth, a woman putting an end to the war between the nurturing and receptive qualities of her Lunar Feminine, and the fierce and fiery qualities of her Solar Feminine is the first step. She must first learn to integrate these two. You can be tender and strong at the same time!

Hundreds of thousands of women have been burnt, both literally and figuratively, for stepping out and boldly expressing this powerful energy! The exact figure is not known, because records were not kept, but the estimate is that during a 300-year period, between three and five million women were killed and tortured for being witches. How can we not be affected by that? No woman wants to be called a witch or a bitch, but it will happen if she speaks up to Solar Masculine men.

The complementary energies of the Lunar Masculine—-note the black dot representing the feminine on the white masculine side of the yin-yang sign—–are rising at the same time, and men feel the change too. They have been honing their skills of listening and nurturing, and many are committed to supporting the women in their lives as never before. This very same dance of integration is being asked of men, and often men vascillate between being too passive and then reacting by becoming intimidating or domineering.

We must remember that we are all always doing the best we can, and if we knew a better way, we would do better. For that reason, learning a better way is key, and it always has to do with the connection with your own loveseed, the wholeness at the center of your being.”

We now see that what the Dalai Lama said in a speech he delivered during the Vancouver Peace Summit in 2009, is true. Many of us have known this for a long time, and wondered when the tipping point would finally manifest.

We have arrived, and now, the work of transforming the outdated consciousness in all of us is at hand. Some will fight the battle on the political front, others as teachers, therapists, doctors, artists, and in every walk of life…..and we all must step up as parents and grandparents. The image that inspires me is Kwan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Compassion, fearlessly riding the wave of change on the back of the dragon as she pours the nectar of compassion out of her cup.
