“My hair was blowing in the wind and I thought it was because I was flowing, but instead I was going.”
― Dominic Riccitello

If you surrender by going with the flow, you always end up exactly where you belong.  It is the method of letting things flow naturally in whatever way they like. There is no past, no future; everything flows in an eternal present, and there is nowhere to go and nothing to do in this meditative state.

If you focus on flowing with the go, you end up exactly where you belong.  It is the method of letting things flow naturally in the direction of the go.  There is eternal arriving and an infinite number of possibilities in this co-creative state.

In either case, if you seek to remain an open channel, your life will begin to come into balance.

In terms of yin and yang

If we see life as a river, the banks of the river are the yang or masculine, with the qualities of directionality and forward motion.  The water between the banks is the yin or feminine, and has no direction without the masculine.  Each needs the other to express the fullness of itself. This is true in a healthy relationship, and within ourselves, on every level—physical, emotional, energetic, spiritual, mental and beyond.

Go with the flow is focused movement of the yang following the yin, giving over to an undulation of tremendous power arising from the feminine.

Flow with the go is a very yin movement of surrender to the focused yang, to the go of life—the giving over to the primal force of life rising up out of the masculine.

All of life is this dance, this exquisite dance of opposites co-creating new worlds.

Finding your GO

At this time in the evolution of our world, there can appear to be much stagnation and inertia that leads us to feel as if we are blowing in the wind with no power, or even trapped, unable to move forward.  If you look outside of yourself toward the utter chaos for the direction, you will become more lost.

For this reason, a slight pivot from going with the flow to flowing with the go can make a huge difference, as you begin to synch up with the natural movement of change in your life.

What is naturally and organically moving in your life right now?  What is revealing itself to you with a green light?  Is it time to get really healthy and fit, or to create that website you have been thinking about for a long time? What needs to be done to set that in motion?

Did you find yourself smiling to high heaven as you listened to the ukulele song sent by a friend?  Is it time to learn to play the ukulele, which you’ve talked about for years?  Flow with the go and make that call.

How do you know your go? For one, you will feel a pull in that direction.  The spiritual teacher Michael Beckwith days, “The pain pushes until the vision pulls.” What is your vision, the dream in your heart?  What part of it is asking you for your undivided attention right now?

When you flow with the go, you actually become energized, rather than exhausted, because you are not attempting to make something happen, but cooperating with what is actually happening.

Flowing with the go creates a momentum in your life that allows you to then shift into going with the flow more, creating the balance that the dance of life requires.
