“We alive at this time are the luckiest people who have ever lived—and the ones facing the wildest, most terrifying challenges. This is not just a ‘deep paradox,’ it’s an existential invitation to keep waking up, right now.”  ~Terry Patten

In some traditions it is believed that we die and return to earth, one lifetime after another, until we fully wake up and remember who we are. We all have this in common, as every single person born on earth is separated from Source, and born into duality. This means we have all been separated from our own true God-nature, and we brought with us a belief that there is nothing Divine about us.

Every one of us mortals, at some point, has come to believe we are small, weak, vulnerable and powerless. This state of victimhood is the original “original sin”  that every human being is born with, which is why most humans believe that the truth is somewhere outside of themselves, in someone or something more powerful.   Our common starting point is a level of consciousness of forgetting who we really are which we can maintain for as long as we choose. The present world drama has provided countless roles for those attached to such victimhood.

It’s totally your free choice!  You can have thousands of lives on the wheel of incarnation if you like, but you can have only one awakening lifetime where your consciousness begins to ascend to its rightful Divine nature. It is likely that if you are reading this now, you are in your awakening lifetime, and on the way back Home.

When you begin to wake up spiritually, there is no going back. You must let go of the illusion of being separate from God, and find the truth within yourself. You begin to claim your own light and the beauty of your own soul, as you remember that you are a spark of embodied Divinity. You begin to transform yourself, elevate your awareness and raise your vibration, so that when you leave this mortal life, you do not have to return again, unless you so choose.

You live with the awareness that each and every moment is a package of light that only you can unwrap.

You can choose to return as a teacher of master if you choose, which is a very challenging path, such as the path of the Bodhisattva, where you vow to return over and over again, transcending your ego in the service of the awakening of all sentient beings. This choice comes when a person feels such love and compassion for this earth and her people, and we are blessed to have such a living Master in the Dalai Lama at this time.

You have this life to reach as far and high as you can and to bring all the light and beauty and grace of your soul to bear in a world that has gone dark from greed and fear. This is your purpose, and you have everything you need within your very being.

There is a torrent of blessings and creative energy flowing to planet earth right now, and it is up to each of us to receive and balance and integrate this into our own light body system. There are many—most—who are not grounding this energy and it runs wild in their systems, leading to aggressive and explosive outbursts as we have seen happening more and more.

Your soul provides the center of your being and life now, and as it is connected to your heart center, you become a Master, creating peace and harmony within, which then manifests around you. Attempting to create peace and harmony outside in the world right now could take you off your path of Mastery, as there are too many who are not ready for that expansion of love consciousness.

Mastery means to live here on earth in the midst of suffering and chaos, and to rest in that place of inner stillness and peace at the center of you. It means to be connected to the mighty flow of Divine creative intelligence that is pouring down, and to live without fear and expectation, releasing attachments to outcome. It means to let love take the lead in your life, over all else.

Here is a poem I wrote last year at this time, as I received an abundance of that light energy that is available to us all the time. May it serve to remind you of your most important work of waking up.

Take Love’s Lead

Take love’s lead.
It’s the best you can do
to lift the weight of sorrow
with the help of her mighty arms
holding your trembling outreached hands.

Take love’s lead
until you cannot tell the difference
between giving and receiving.
And then do it again.

Take love’s lead
because you are human
and that means tender
fierce
protective
and loyal
to the
One.

Take love’s lead.
She is all we ever need.
