work we have to do

“Go back and stand under that one red flower and walk straight ahead for that last hard mile.  Go up and knock on the old weathered door.  Climb up to the cave.  Crawl through the window of a dream.  Sift the desert and see what you find.  It is the only work we have to do.”

From Women Who Run With the Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

The summer of 2018 is potentially a giant portal into a new way of being in a parched political landscape, and a culture of numbness.  Right in our faces there is the reality that the leader of our country has secrets with the leader of Russia that NO ONE except a translator for the State Department knows.

Over 3,000 immigrant children were separated from their parents, and only 57 under the age of 5 have been reunited as of last Friday.

Volcanoes are erupting at an untold rate.

We really don’t need more reflection back that there is so much to let go of that no longer serves.  It truly is time to leave our old baggage at the door and crawl through the window of the dream of a new world that is based on a culture of kindness and truth.  We can close the gap between were we are now and where we want to be by shifting away from the “reality” out there as our main focus to an intentional and very different vibration inside.  It is the only work we have to do.

I remember in 2006 hearing a spiritual teacher speak of the 3-dimensional baggage based on fear that we have been carrying since the beginning of time.  He had us picture a bridge of light over which we would walk to enter the 5th dimension.  He said we couldn’t even bring a backpack!

What does that really mean to enter another dimension without our baggage?  It means no longer agreeing to a consciousness that agrees to fear and to face the places inside ourselves that are still holding on to our fears.  To do that in the world we live in today, you must use discernment on a steady basis and remain very very awake to forces that are meant to have you spiral into negativity and despair.

In writing my book, Loveseed:  The Template To Birth A New WorldI discovered the work of Paul Levy, whose penetrating ideas on evil can help us with the process of discernment  Here is an excerpt from my book:

“Levy shows us that within the very force that can destroy us lies the hope of what can save our world at this time. In his book Dispelling Wetiko: Breaking the Curse of Evil, Levy describes wetiko as a non-local, transcendental force that cannot be adequately expressed in language, because it is not a thing. Think of wetiko as fear and negativity in virtual virus form on steroids.

Wetiko is an Algonquian Indian word describing a mercurial and elusive psychic phenomenon that has both material and spiritual aspects. Native American cosmology is similar to Eastern traditions in that the universe is regarded as a dream of the Creator and is a dream in which all the characters in the dream are dreaming as well. In such a cosmology, wetiko is often depicted as cannibalistic spirits who embody the worst qualities of human nature and which can take possession of a human being. Once human, wetikos are considered to have lost their minds and exist as crazy wild creatures that no longer live according to acceptable limits, engaging in excesses of every kind.

The wetiko virus is passed down trans-generationally, over multiple generations. Unlike other psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, ADHD, and the countless anxiety disorders that are rampant, the wetiko psycho-pathogen cannot be controlled with medication, because the medication would come from the very system that is infected with the virus. Overuse of Big Pharma medication is contributing to people being more susceptible to the wetiko virus, which thrives in a climate void of authentic feeling.  Overuse of technology invites wetiko to inhabit your psyche.

This rampant and seemingly unlimited capacity for self-deception that afflicts humanity at this point is like a pactwith the devil indeed.  Essentially, this is the false self on steroids, and all our systems of government are infected with the wetiko virus and thus, all our leaders.

According to Levy—and I concur—though wetiko has no intrinsic power, it is a “virtual reality” that has enough energy to attack and destroy all of humanity. Imagine the power of this force within us that has the ability to destroy us when we remain separate from and deny it, and when we collude with the ancient myth—the mother of all myths—that we are separate from Source and one another.  Imagine that power! We get separated and cut off due to trauma—cut off from our innocence, from our loveseeds. Then we feed off ourselves and everyone else, and the virus of wetiko takes over. And it is all built on a lie. What if we could reclaim and harness that power?

What Levy calls wetikos are the countless human beings who suffer from not being able to feel, and who have no desire to change that, thus cutting themselves off from their own energy source.  What’s more, without being able to feel, they must draw energy from outside sources, at times behaving as energy vampires.  Those who are highly infected are at risk of being overtaken by this virus, thus causing them to take a perverse pleasure in the ability to dominate and inflict brutality on others, out of a primitive instinct to be the most powerful.

If that sounds like sociopathology and possibly psychopathology, you are not far off base. It’s just that it is so rampant, and no DSM diagnosis begins to adequately describe the power and nature of wetiko.  It is even affecting the mental health profession in a profound way, which has become infected by insurance companies and the present medical system, all corrupted by Big Pharma and the Corporations who make millions as more people are infected by the wetiko virus.   By shining the light of awareness on what is happening, we can call it what it is—a virus that is affecting everyone all the time.

But Levy warns us that though wetiko comes from us, it is not simply “all in the mind” and therefore “not real.” You may deny it or ignore it, but doing so will not prevent you from being affected by it, any more than we could be safe in saying that because we don’t believe in malaria, we are immune to its ravages should we be bitten by an infected mosquito

We don’t need to look to terrorists to see full-blown wetikos, as the major political parties at this very moment are hosting the virus.  It is not the politicians that are the problem, though you would think so if you believed the mainstream media. Understand that the real problem is how many people are affected by the wetiko virus in order for Big Wetikos to rise up the way they have. The crowds get all riled up, and while they seem emotional, they are feeling the rage that covers up terror, and rage and terror are two primal instincts from the lower brain. Feeling involves the heart, and an open one at that—a kind of innocence that is stronger than 10,000 shields,  and more powerful than the wetiko.”

Back to the summer of 2018!  We are now in a 4-week eclipse cycle that began last week.  Both lunar and solar eclipses are known to affect the human body in various ways, from causing your balance to be off, to feeling out of sorts or extra sensitive to the energies and emotions of those around you.

On a deeper level, the change in frequency and vibration from the eclipse can also help you to create your own “reset” and can help you to lift your energetic vibration to a whole new level.

We just had an eclipse on July 13, and we have a total lunar eclipse on July 27, and a partial solar eclipse on August 11, leading to the Lion’s Gate Portal August 8-12 Lionsgate opens every year on August 8th to the 12th, when the Sun is in Leo and is marked by the star Sirius moving closer to earth.  Sirius’ energy is all about awakening to new frequencies, energetic potentials and a higher consciousness at an accelerated rate.

While Sirius is bathing planet Earth with this new stream of potential and consciousness, it is a good time to remember that we are totally connected to everything else, and that we carry an intrinsic wisdom and power to create our own reality through our thoughts and perceptions.

It is the only work we have to do.
