“No more excuses.  We must find one another, and as we join in a deeper communion,  we can no longer be destroyed.”
Kathleen Hanagan

A moment of choice

We are poised at a collective moment of choice—-with the wound of racism raw and oozing, with a global pandemic that magnifies our interdependence, and divisions that cut to the roots of families over ideologies that no longer serve.

We can allow our attention to be captured by the great drama of duality that is always playing out, or we can turn our attention to the deepest longings of our souls.

What is the Soul?

The words spirit and soul are often used interchangeably, but this is a time to understand the difference.

Spirit refers to the immaterial part of humanity and all things that is one with the Divine, Spirit itself. Human beings are souls who have Spirit.

The soul of you is that immortal and incorporeal essence, the invisible part of you that makes you who you are and lives on beyond the body.  There is a uniqueness to your soul, whereas Spirit is not personal, but moving through all of us.

I believe that right now, it is the very Soul of Humanity that is needing our attention.

Attention and intention

The soul is the journey of attention throughout a lifetime and beyond.  Many have begun to recognize the control programs that cause suffering and incite division among and between us.

We no longer need to focus on these old programs, for where our attention goes, so does our very soul.  We learn to see with new eyes beyond the mists of illusion.

As we more of us begin to place our attention within, inner pathways are being revealed, which allow our souls to be infused with Spirit.  As we begin to embody Spirit, our journey begins to acquire a sense of direction and purpose. We begin to realize the infinite power of our intention.

Intention is the meaning you give to the unfolding of your life. It is entirely subjective, and there is no inherent meaning other than what you give to it. Meaning becomes your intentional perception, as well as a vibrational experience in the body. Intention helps you co-create without having to focus on a particular outcome. When you set your intention high, you raise your vibration and adopt a wider view.

More and more people are realizing they are pure awareness and love, and not the lies we have been told.  Many are doing plant medicines and gatherings to uncover and release old pain, welcoming Spirit into the circles. Together we begin to  see the perfection in all things, including our suffering.

As more untruth begins to be revealed, people who are not fully embodied will have a more challenging time, We need to support one another and embody the limitlessness of love in a spirit of Oneness.

Heeding an innate call

Since ancient times, the winged form of a butterfly was a symbol for the human soul.  The ancient Egyptians believed that butterflies reflect the immortality of the human soul, and were one of the pleasures that awaited the deceased in the afterlife.

The work of ethnobiologist Elisabeth Sahtouris provides an exquisite example of the process of transformation that is being asked of us on a global level today. Sahtouris spent years studying the transformational process of caterpillar into butterfly, uncovering what she named imaginal cells.

Because the imaginal cells contain the DNA of the butterfly, which is slightly different from that of the caterpillar, the immune system of the latter views them as foreign objects and attempts to destroy them, the same way it would a virus or bacterium. In a similar way, humanity has done the same to our prophets, ligh-tworkers, and truth-speakers, such as Jesus, Gandhi, and Dr. King.

However, there comes a time in the life of every caterpillar when they heed some innate call to begin a feeding frenzy, during which they devour everything in sight.  During this time, the caterpillar basically dissolves into a nutrient soup, becoming a blob of goop.

In the case of the caterpillar, the hyper-eating phase triggers a hyper-production of imaginal cells, which begin popping everywhere, and they start gravitating toward each other, coalescing into imaginal clusters. Once the imaginal cells join together, the immune system of the caterpillar can no longer destroy them, no matter what it does.  It tries and tries and fails and finally dissolves into a nutrient soup, a blob of goop, which is what the imaginal cells feed on as they transform into the butterfly.

A coherent signal of love

.In many ways, that is where humanity is now.  Systems are imploding all around us, disintegrating in front of our eyes.  This is the perfect time to activate the innate design within each of us and within the collective—to awaken to our full potential, refusing to live mediocre lives of frustration or to hide our light under a bushel.

No more excuses. We must find one another, and as we join in a deeper communion, we can no longer be destroyed.

Within each of us, when we really begin to transform, there are parts of the old personality or ego that will attempt to destroy what is being formed.  We are gathering, communicating, zooming, and tuning into to a new, coherent signal of love, which supports the new knowing.

We may be getting ideas or impulses or messages from our soul and then override them with fear-based thinking that calls us crazy or unrealistic.  Others who are afraid or jealous of your new found self will attempt to knock you off track with their “helpful advice.”

In the new web of relationships based on love, kindness plays a huge role. We teach others how to treat us by how we treat them, which begins with how we treat ourselves.  Yes, it all begins there, with you.

It has to do with vows you have taken to fulfill a certain destiny in this life.  It has to do with whether you choose to allow your soul to be guided by the signal of love.

It is the choice that lifts up the Soul of humanity.
